“During Stewart's mental health first aid training, we were able to dive into the fundamentals of what that means for you and what it could mean for others. We were lucky enough to have someone like Stewart, who was open and honest about his own experiences - which is so important with a subject like mental health.
His style of training made me feel very comfortable, and created a safe space and environment for me to participate and learn about mental health. I count myself as one of the lucky people who have completed this course with Stewart, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
It could, quite literally, save a life"

“Stewart delivered an excellent course with content that has your attention from the get-go. Class involvement has everybody taking part from scenarios to real life situations which come from the heart. Stewart gives people the confidence to feel in a safe place to share - should they wish to do so - with obvious compassion.

He has helped me to develop the awareness to identify when people are struggling, and to consider how to support them and myself. I've already managed to make a difference where I can.

I can't recommend Stewart enough. If you're looking for someone to deliver with honesty and openness then you've found him!"

“Mental health is a difficult subject to talk openly about and the course material is obviously there to help us to do that. But Stewart himself is the best part of the training. He's compassionate and knowledgeable but most importantly he has a way to connect and make you feel at ease.
He left a lasting impression on me and gave me a fresh perspective on what mental health is and how we can support each other. He had the whole room participating positively in the conversation, which in my previous experience is very unusual.

Stewart's ability to connect with the class on this subject is unique and I can't speak highly enough of him nor the long lasting impact that his style of delivery and honesty provided me“

“I undertook the mental health first aid course with Stewart in 2022 and can honestly say that it's had a profound, long lasting effect. The course itself was delivered with empathy and care, and it's obvious that it is something Stewart is extremely passionate about.
The course content was relevant, concise and made me feel more confident in my abilities to help someone who may be struggling with their mental health. Despite changing jobs since completing the course, the skills and knowledge gained continue to serve me in my new role.
I would strongly recommend the course to anyone looking to enhance their interpersonal skills, relationship building, team management skills and, of course, to develop their understanding and confidence in supporting others in the workplace“

“Before the course, I was unsure what to expect from this mental health first aid training and I was quite guarded to begin with. It's not a subject I've ever felt comfortable speaking about, even privately. However, I was completely surprised at how comfortable I became.
I found Stewart's openness, passion and honesty really refreshing. He managed to create a rapport with the class within the first few minutes and shared his knowledge and experience. It really is a difficult, uncomfortable subject for most people to talk about but Stewart does an excellent job at encouraging engagement, and a terrific job at creating a positive, non-judgemental, safe space to do so.
I honestly believe that this training is a must for any workplace. The skills, attitude and knowledge shared have been invaluable to me"

“I completed the mental health first aid training with Stewart in 2023 and, yes, it's hard hitting at times! Not only does Stewart deliver the content with thoughtfulness and compassion, it's also authentic. His knowledge and openness of his lived experience makes it even more impactful.

Prior to the training, I didn't feel comfortable talking about mental health but with the mental health first aider qualification being recognised by the SQA, I now feel more confident that I can identify when someone might be in need of support, and provided me with a reassurance that I am capable and qualified to support my colleagues, friends and family.

I laughed, I cried but I learned a lot. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stewart."
